Was Mueller Faking It?
Robert Mueller's hearing was a shitshow. From overly obsequious Democrats who couldn't stop talking about Mueller's oh so impressive war record, to Republicans, who wanted to make sure the law was as tall as Donald Trump so they'd be even in height, to a seemingly dementia ridden special counsel. Most of this was Kabuki theater but the most important parts are Robert Mueller's apparent mental state and the questions he wasn't asked.
Robert Mueller obviously went to great lengths to not testify. An easy way to discourage testimony is to pretend to not have the mental ability to give it. Furthermore, this can protect him if any testimony or actions he undertook are proven to be mistakes or illegal. It certainly is possible that he really does suffer from some mental ailment, but we believe he's faking.
Here's why: Robert Mueller held a press conference on May 29, 2019. He could read perfectly well. At his testimony on July 24 he had issues with reading. He also had the ability to both frustrate his questioners with carefully worded answers, but had to have many questions repeated to him, since he couldn't understand. He even forgot that Reagan gave him his first Government job and he completely forgot about Fusion GPS. He still knew how to cunningly use the phrase "I take your question," which most people don't understand. According to the Washington Post, Mueller started having mental lapses during 2018. This was in the middle of the Special Counsel's investigation when he most likely had compiled large amounts of evidence and understood what happened between Trump and Russia. The timing of Mueller's mental impairment seems pretty convenient. It seems similar to people who start acting insane right before they murder someone and keep it up through a trial, but they still manage to act like sane people when it will benefit them or when they otherwise absolutely need to.
It's more than Mueller. Nobody at the hearing asked a single question that mattered. We have a list of over 40 questions that he could be asked. Hardly any of them were answered or even asked. Glaring inconsistencies in Mueller's investigation and his report weren't discussed.
To the best of our knowledge, nowhere in the Mueller Report, Senate Intelligence Report, or House Intelligence Report does it unequivocally state that the voting tallies were 100% accurate and that no one was prevented from voting who could vote. Not one person there asked the one question that we thought mattered. Everyone on those committees is either too stupid to do their jobs or are okay with keeping the current administration and other Republicans who gained and kept office in 2016 in power without checking to see if they even won those elections.
